upon popular request, here’s my term paper on local strange semi-aquatic plant family isoetes! note that this is the academic version of this paper that i turned in (with some slight corrections and changes) so it isn’t totally accessible how it is right now. i intend to write a nonacademic version of this paper saying everything i want to say about these plants that i couldn’t in an academic setting, probably in a similar style to how i write on this blog.
these plants are….hard to talk about, mainly because they think its still 400 million years ago and do weird shit as a direct result of that. it’s also hard to find good, concise overviews on exactly What The Fuck they are, so that’s my aim here.

walked by this tiny temple today. this streetview is from dec 2015 and today is september 2018. it has a funky drawing of a man riding a fish! the temple looks the same except i saw a bell with fish chime which the temple didnt have back when streetview person was riding by. the same car was parked outside the temple but slightly different spot.
